National GZS Innovation Awards Presented at Innovation Day 2026
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia presented national awards for the best innovations at Innovation Day 2026, held at the Brdo Congress Centre near Kranj. The event, which has been bringing together businesses, researchers and creators for more than two decades, once again confirmed this year that Slovenia is a country of numerous innovative ideas and solutions – with the Zasavje region playing an important role among them.
A total of 235 innovations were submitted this year, involving more than 1,000 innovators. The awards included 8 gold, 27 silver and 13 bronze recognitions, as well as a special award for the Innovation Challenge. Among the award recipients were also representatives from the Zasavje region, further confirming the region’s strong role in innovation at the national level.

Among the innovations that advanced from the regional to the national level was an innovation developed by ETI Elektroelement d.o.o. in collaboration with VIAL Automation d.o.o. and Procesi d.o.o., which received a silver award.

INNOVATION: Development of the PCF 10 Fuse Switch Disconnector and an Automated Assembly Line
The new generation of the PCF 10 fuse switch disconnector brings numerous new features to the global market and provides protection for various electrical engineering systems. The innovation combines a comprehensive redesign of the PCF 10 product with the development of a new automated assembly line, positioning the company among leading high-quality suppliers. With this innovation, we achieved a 40% reduction in own cost, increased production capacity, and significantly improved production quality and traceability.
